Attendance

Children need to be at school to learn effectively.

Those who miss odd days or extended periods, fall behind and lose confidence. Schools are not allowed to authorise time away from school unless there are exceptional circumstances.

If you do need to take your child out of school during term time for exceptional circumstances (such as a family funeral), please request the time off using the Leave of Absence Request form attached below, for consideration of the Executive Headteacher.

Our school target for attendance is currently 97%. The Local Authority requires that any child whose attendance is below 90% is referred to the Attendance Office
